ClimEx-PE presented at the MARSURE Stakeholder Workshop – Strengthening Water4All Collaboration

On October 7th, 2025, the MARSURE project held its first stakeholder workshop in a hybrid format. The event focused on innovative Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) technologies as tools to ensure resilient and healthy groundwater resources under climate change.

As part of the program, Brigitta Czauner, key member of the ClimEx-PE project and Work Package 1 (WP1) leader, presented ClimEx-PE’s transdisciplinary approach to climate adaptation through groundwater flow-based MAR and public engagement. Her presentation introduced the concept of nature-based MAR (NaBa-MAR), which integrates scientific, legal, and socio-economic dimensions to support regional-scale mitigation of hydroclimatic extremes.

The workshop drew a diverse group of stakeholders, creating a valuable forum for sharing insights and strengthening collaboration across Water4All-funded initiatives. Notably, the event fostered exchange between ClimEx-PE, MARSURE, and MAR2PROTECT, reinforcing the importance of joint efforts and knowledge-sharing in promoting groundwater resilience across Europe.
