NaBa-MAR® Presented at ELTE Innovation Day 2026

NaBa-MAR® was presented at a dedicated stand at ELTE Innovation Day 2026, held on 27 May 2026 at the Aula Magna of Eötvös Loránd University. The event provided an excellent opportunity to showcase how university-based research can be translated into practical, socially relevant innovation.

The stand was represented by Judit Mádl-Szőnyi, Ildikó Erhardt and Márk Szijártó. Visitors could learn about the NaBa-MAR® concept through an information leaflet and a video-based presentation of the physical model, which helped illustrate how groundwater-flow-based managed aquifer recharge can work in practice.

The stand also supported one of the key objectives of ClimEx-PE: communicating the role of groundwater systems in buffering the impacts of droughts, flash floods and uneven water availability. Presenting the concept in an accessible and visual format helped bring the project’s scientific message closer to a broader audience, including researchers, institutional actors and potential stakeholders.

By making NaBa-MAR® visible within ELTE’s innovation ecosystem, the event contributed to knowledge transfer and highlighted the practical relevance of groundwater-based, nature-inspired solutions for climate-resilient water management.
