ClimEx-PE Researchers at the Forefront of Polish-Hungarian Conference

We are proud to announce that two esteemed researchers from ClimEx-PE, István Hoffman and Ferenc Gyuris, recently participated in the multi- and interdisciplinary NB-MAR/ClimEx-PE Panel at the 8th Polish-Hungarian Conference on Legal Studies, held on 28-29 April 2025. This notable event took place at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin, Poland, and was jointly organized by the Faculty of Law and Administration and the Faculty of Earth Sciences.

During the panel, Ferenc Gyuris delivered an insightful presentation on the spatial fragmentation and the administrative and spatial challenges of groundwater management. István Hoffman followed with a compelling discussion on the complexities of fragmented legal regulations in this field. Additionally, Joana Sposób, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Earth Sciences, highlighted the specific challenges of groundwater management in Eastern Poland, particularly in the Lublin area.

Following the panel, a productive project meeting was held to explore potential collaborations between Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Sciences, and Maria Curie-Skłodowska University, Faculty of Earth Sciences. These discussions extended beyond the scope of NB-MAR, encompassing other areas such as political geography.

This collaboration is a significant step forward for the ClimEx-PE project, fostering interdisciplinary research and strengthening international partnerships. It opens new avenues for innovative solutions and enhances our collective efforts in addressing critical environmental challenges.
