On 25 September 2026, ClimEx-PE once again contributed to Researchers’ Night at ELTE, continuing the project’s efforts to bring groundwater science and the NaBa-MAR® concept closer to the public.

The session was led by Levente Álmos Szőcs, who used the ClimEx-PE educational materials to explain groundwater processes, water retention and the role of aquifers in adapting to hydroclimatic extremes.

The discussion developed into a particularly lively and interactive exchange. Participants raised a wide range of questions, including sceptical and unconventional explanations for regional rainfall patterns, giving the presenter an opportunity to address misconceptions through evidence-based scientific dialogue.

The event highlighted the value of the NaBa-MAR educational toolkit not only for sharing knowledge, but also for encouraging questions, critical discussion and greater awareness of groundwater and climate resilience.
